ON THE RUN
MEGHAN: I wore the Saucony Ride 19 on easy runs, mostly outside on a paved trail and cruising through town. From the start they felt easy to run in. The shoe hugged my foot in a way that felt secure without being restrictive, and the heel lockdown was especially noticeable, in the best way.
A big part of that comes from the updated upper and added heel collar cushioning, which give the Ride 19 a more dialed-in, comfortable feel right out of the box. Underfoot, the reformulated PWRRUN+ foam feels lighter and smoother than before. The cushioning felt firm but comfortable, and once I got moving the miles just kind of flew by. This is one of those shoes that lets you settle in and find a rhythm without constantly thinking about what’s on your feet. Nothing flashy, nothing distracting, just a smooth, dependable ride that made easy runs feel effortless.

THE FIT
MEGHAN: The Ride 19 fits true to size and feels dialed in right away. The toebox has just the right amount of room, enough space to let your toes relax, but not so much that it feels sloppy or loose.
The new engineered mesh upper is a standout. It’s breathable, has a bit of stretch, and feels accommodating without losing structure. My feet never felt hot, even on longer efforts. The tongue and heel are both well padded, and the added heel collar cushioning gives the shoe a secure, cozy feel without tipping into bulky territory. Everything feels intentional and well put together.

THE FEEL
MEGHAN: The cushioning is firm but forgiving, which I really liked. If the midsole were a surface, it would feel like a gym mat, soft enough to absorb impact, but firm enough to feel stable and supportive.
The updated PWRRUN+ foam feels lighter, softer, and more responsive than previous versions, with more foam underfoot contributing to better energy return. I’m used to running in max-cushion shoes, and what surprised me was how the Ride 19 delivered a similar protective feeling without the added weight. It feels grounded and consistent underfoot, making it easy to trust the shoe and just run.

THE NITTY GRITTY
MEGHAN: This is a shoe I’d reach for on easy runs and everyday mileage. It doesn’t feel like a speed or race-day shoe, but it’s not clunky or heavy either. It’s happiest cruising at relaxed paces, soaking up miles comfortably.
Durability and traction feel improved thanks to more rubber in the forefoot and added flex grooves, which help smooth out transitions and keep the ride feeling fluid. There’s nothing fancy here, and that’s kind of the point. The Ride 19 is dependable. It’s the shoe you grab when you want something you know will feel good, mile after mile.

THE RUNDOWN
MEGHAN: The Saucony Ride 19 is a solid, trustworthy daily trainer with meaningful upgrades that refine the ride without changing its identity. The improved upper, added comfort through the heel, and lighter, softer PWRRUN+ foam all work together to make easy runs feel smooth and natural.
It’s not trying to be anything flashy, and it doesn’t need to be. This shoe will absolutely earn a spot in my regular rotation.
