ON THE RUN
Sidney: Ah. The Structure Plus. Now, me and the Structure Plus have a different kind of bond. I found myself carrying these shoes around with me for the first few days I had them. We were doing a little photoshoot for the Structure Plus launch, so I couldn’t wear them yet. I had to keep them clean. But my excitement got the best of me, and I would take them home with me each night and bring them back to work the next day, like they were a friend I wanted to hang out with all the time. Time with them felt easy. The miles and hours on my feet flew by with ease and little effort, refreshed and recharged after the run or long day at work. Now that’s a good friend.
Jokes aside, this shoe has become part of my everyday life. Whether it’s the pair I wear to work or the pair I lace up after for a run, the Structure Plus is always with me. And honestly, it’s going to stay that way until I run them into the ground.

THE FIT
Sidney: I still hear it to this day: “Nike is too narrow.” Well, they’re not anymore. The Structure Plus gives you just the right amount of room up front with a plush upper that’s mighty fine, and the Midfoot Support System works quietly through the arch and around the heel to make everything feel natural and seamless, while also adding stability throughout the entire stride without you even knowing it. And honestly, I have no complaints about the fit here. My toes can wiggle, my heel stays put, and the plush heel collar and tongue feel soft, secure, and supportive in all the right places.
Once you lace them up, everything cinches in and locks you down in a smooth, comfortable, confident way. The structural overlays throughout the upper are a nice touch, too. They don’t just look cool, they actually add to the overall fit and stability. This is one of those shoes that manages to look good and feel great at the same time.

THE FEEL
Sidney: The ZoomX x ReactX x Midfoot Support System collab completely threw us for a loop. Every stability shoe I’ve worn before has gotten the job done, not blown me away. They usually come with a familiar recipe: firmer foams, stiffer rides, and rigid structures built purely for support. That’s not what’s happening here.
There hasn’t been a stability shoe quite like this. Most don’t even try this high of a stack, and the ones that do usually feel bulky and boring. But here, with a 42mm heel and 32mm forefoot, you get all that cushioning without giving up responsiveness. It’s wild to see this much foam and even better to feel how lively it still manages to be.
And that’s the real innovation here. Nike took a premium race foam, something we usually only see in their fastest shoes, and put it into a stability trainer, which is almost unheard of. It feels like they’re opening the door for what stability shoes can become and reshaping the category as a whole.
The soft comfort and peppy energy you get from ZoomX is truly remarkable, especially when it’s paired with support that feels safe and natural. It gives runners and walkers alike the confidence they want from a stability shoe without ever feeling dull or bulky.

THE NITTY GRITTY
Sidney: Over the past year, we’ve seen Nike roll out Plus and Premium versions of the beloved Vomero, and the year before that we got our first glimpse of the Pegasus doing the same thing. When Nike teased the Structure Plus with nothing but an empty box, it sent everyone into a spiral. Eyeballs bulged, brains calculated, and the speculation ran wild about what was coming next.
And now that it’s here, the Structure Plus truly delivers. The Midfoot Support System holds you up exactly where you need it, stays out of the way when you don’t, and works quietly in the background to keep every step feeling centered, confident, and controlled, even when the miles start to add up. The ZoomX foam gives us exactly what we needed without even knowing we needed it. You get that energy return that propels you forward, with the ReactX combo making sure you’re protected every step of the way.

THE RUNDOWN
Sidney: When I first heard there would be ZoomX in a stability shoe, I had a giant question mark floating over my head. How was this supposed to work? Leave it to Nike to figure it out. And wow, did they ever.
The Structure Plus brings something to the stability category that has been missing for a long time. Stability wearers have been stuck watching neutral runners get all the fun foams and speedy tech while settling for shoes that felt… fine. But why should support mean boring?
The Structure Plus finally bridges that gap. You get premium foam, soft cushioning, real energy return, and the protection and support you actually need. This is stability done differently.
This is stability done differently.
Once again, Nike is pushing footwear forward.
Meet the Reviewers

Sidney Jonckheere
Sidney spent most of her life hating running, until a doctor told her she couldn’t do it. That flipped a switch, and now she’s training for everything from 5Ks to 100 milers. She’s the first to say yes to crewing your next race, and if you tell her you’re up for “whatever” distance… get ready for a long run.
