Time and Time again we read headlines about runners, joggers, and walkers being assaulted while out exercising. RunSafer is a program created by Two-Time Olympic Distance Runner and Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Todd Williams. This one hour session taught us safety techniques and tips to help protect ourselves in a dangerous situation.
6K is the average distance people in Africa walk for water; water that is often unsafe to drink. Walk or run 6K so they don’t have to. Every 6K for water runner provides clean water to one child in Africa though a $50 registration fee. That child’s photo is printed on the runner;s race bib to connect each runner to the cause – every bib is unique!
